Dandy J’s KoF Tutorial
Posted by Atb_555 on Thursday Jul 2, 2009

What’s really good? Dandy J’s KoF Tutorial that’s what! With The King of Fighters XII weeks away, KoF98: Ultimate Match on XBL already and KoF2002: Unlimited Match out in japan with an arcade update already; what a perfect opportunity to get a head start on learning how to play KoF. For the cultured few most of the things covered will be familiar however for the rest of us this tutorial will decipher the intricacies’ of KoF in order to give you a better understanding of how to play properly.

Speaking from personal experience it has helped me a lot in variety of ways, in particular defence which I lacked a lot against the pros. Now I can play with a bit more confidence and you can too with this wonderfully presented tutorial.

YOU Decide! Xbox 360 or PS3 for Street Fighter IV @ Super Versus Battle 2009?
Posted by The_Golden_Gunman on Thursday Jul 2, 2009

It’s almost a shoe-in that the game with most participants at this year’s SVB will be Capcom’s Street Fighter IV.

And that’s already leading to some heavy debate as to which version of the game we should use, Xbox 360 or PS3.

(For those smart-alecs amongst you, PC is not an option due to the impracticality of running a tournament this large on so many non uniform PC’s).

Neo Empire has thus far used Xbox 360’s for most of our SF IV competitions. However, this has been because of regulations forced upon us (the UK Qualifier was exclusive to Xbox, and London Ranking Battles were on 360 because Gamerbase had an exclusive deal with Microsoft at it’s Trocadero store).

So for that reason, we are putting the decision out to the masses, you guys! Which version would you like to see at SVB?

Kusogaki wins King of Fighters XII RB2 @ Casino Arcade.
Posted by Bullet Proof on Monday Jun 29, 2009

(sorry for the late update)

Thanks again to all the players that turned up to attend the second King of Fighters XII ranking battle in Casino arcade London (20/06/2009). Again, Kusogaki ran a great event, and unlike last time, he actually settled down and managed to win. Its never easy running a tournament and wanting to play at the same time. But he managed it well.

A french player called MichelS entered this time and he was good. He beat most of the best players in casuals match-ups several times, and it even looked like he might win.  Unfortunately, he ran into a fellow french player Dobiqwolf in the semi-finals, and was shown Duo-Lon and Joe Higashi. _OFFed_

Shin_Dragon did very well. Nothing to be ashamed of since he was knocked out by the RB winner. He came up short against MichelS’s Leona, Kensou + Joe and came in at 4th place. Looks like Shin_Dragon still has a bit of KOF fight left in him…………….. (make sure you look at the END of the 3rd place match video for his personal response… lol)

KOF XII Ranking Battle 3 will be on Sat 11th July 2009 in Casino arcade London. So be there and don’t miss it.

Garou - MoTW on XBL Today!
Posted by Atb_555 on Wednesday Jun 24, 2009

Garou – Mark of The Wolves has finally dropped on XBL today worldwide at the cost 800ms points, bundled with online play and the usual game fighting game modes ported from the PS2 version. Being the ninth iteration in the series at the time SNK had made a bold decision to scratch the traditional Fatal Fury system and cast (baring Terry) in favour more a complex game and creative line up. And Garou – Mark of The Wolves is the product of that decision with the inclusion of Just Defense, Guard Cancelling, Feints, Break Moves and many more system mechanics as well as an almost completely revised rooster. To find out more check out my Garou System’s Guide in the Garou section. Also fellow NE Member Tizoc the Griffon has made some combo videos for each character detailing all the practical combos as well as a few stylish ones. For high level play check out the Garou Video Thread which I try to update as much as possible with the latest RBs from Game Plaza Softem in Osaka and TRF Arcade in Tokyo.
