King of Fighters Movie

SNK Playmore are a company of habit. And one of those habits is to look at what other companies are doing and do the same thing, but on a reduced budget.

And so for that reason, it perhaps shouldn't come as such a surprise to learn about a King of Fighters MOVIE.

The movie stars Maggie Q (Live Free and Die Hard), Sean Faris (Never Back Down), Will Yun Lee (Elektra), Francoise Yip (Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem), Monique Ganderton (Supernatural) and Ray Park (Darth Maul from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace).
Sadly just as every other video game turned movie spin-off, it appears that the writers have thrown out the actual storyline of the games in place of a science fiction spin on the games’ universe by following the surviving members of three legendary fighting clans who are continually whisked away to other dimensions by an evil power.

Sounds like oscar-worthy stuff [/Sarcasm].

Wait what? Why not get Taiwanese or Hong Kong stars to star in this lol. Alot of girl gamers liked Kyo in Singapore because they said he looks like Andy Lau.

Haha, this is awesome news.

I hope this and SF:chun-li movie are as bad as they look like they are gonna be.

Both will make for an hilarious evening piss up in with anyone who knows the games.

focussing on 3 characters? Kyo / Iori but who is the 3rd? Ash (they would be hard lucked to find a guy that feminine). I don't know anything about the KOF story line...much like the script writers.

Kyo doesn't look Japanese in the game, he looks white/South American.

Why is there a tendency for Japanese developers to make their Japanese characters look like dusky white people?

Largely because alot of Japanese games are done with an anime inspired style in mind, and everyone in anime looks white.
